Q&A

Question

Answer

What is your style?

As a documentary photographer, my goal is to tell the full story of your day through my images. When editing, I lean into rich tones and stay true to the natural colors of the setting, so your photos feel just as you remembered.

More than anything, though, I want you and your loved ones to feel fully present. I’m not one to pull you out of a moment just for the sake of a photograph—I believe the most meaningful images come when you’re truly living out your day, and my role is to create the space for that to unfold.

I'm not used to having my photo taken!

I get it – It’s not most people’s natural tendency to be in front of a camera. In moments that necessitate direction, my philosophy is gentle guidance and prompting, but mainly letting you and your partner enjoy each other’s presence. Every couple is unique and I strive to match the energy I sense with the guidance I give, so rest assured I won’t leave you hanging. :)

What gear do you use?

I shoot with a variety of professional grade Sony digital cameras, lenses and flashes with multiple backups. For film I utilize a mix of medium format, 35mm, and polaroid cameras.

Do you travel?

YES! I love my city of Austin, but I frequently shoot outside of it for wedding days and sessions. For distances over 50 miles from Austin I charge a small travel fee, and for coverage outside of Texas I create custom quote.

Where can I find your pricing?

Please fill out my form here to schedule a consultation call. We’ll get to chat about what you’re envisioning for your day and see if we’d be a good fit. I will then send over a proposal with more information on pricing and the breakdown of everything.
